  • Parking Lots Closed for Pick up and Drop off * Hawthorne Village Community:Due to safety concerns, the decision has been made to close the parking lot to parents and guardians during arrival and dismissal times. This will begin tomorrow on Monday January 22nd. All families are asked to either walk their children to school or to park on the sidestreets and walk them from there.Staff will have a parking pass in order to park in our lot. *There will be a few accessible parking passes available in the office for families of students with special needs or temporary injuries ie) broken leg***Please note that NO CARS ARE PERMITTED TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED AT ANYTIME IN THE FRONT LANEWAY . . .   • Parking Lot Issues at HAWPS Our parking lots are extremely unsafe! Several schools in Milton have closed their parking lots to parents and guardians. In order forHawthorne Village to remain open to public cars, we need to all follow some rules. We will try this process until January 17, 2018 at which time a decision will be made regarding leaving the parking lots open or closing them during drop off and pick up times.1.   • Prescribed Medication Forms for Students ( NEW) Parents/Guardians, As previously shared, the medical procedures have changed in HDSB.  Completed Medical Form 1 or 2 with signature from a Health Care Provider are required if requesting authorization for self-administration of prescribed medication by a student while at school and/or for school personnel to administer prescribed medication to a student during school hours or during an approved school activity.  To find these forms, please locate them by clicking Parent Info and then move to the Forms and Files menu.If you have any questions please contact the main office to support the process.

  • Forms: Pita Lunches and Smoothie If your family would like to participate in the Pita Pit lunches and optional smoothies, please follow the link from the main menu > and click on Parent Lunch Forms there you will find two different forms that can be printed off and sent into the school. Please note that the first term lunch forms will be due on Wednesday September 20. Thank you for your support....proceeds come right back to the school.

  • Volunteering in the School If you would like to volunteer in our school please note that you will require a yearly police record check. You can apply for Police Information Checks and Police Vulnerable Sector Checks for employment and volunteer purposes ONLINE24 hours a day, seven days a week without having to attend one of our police locations. T​his will allow parents easier access to applying for a Police Record Check, that is a necessity for volunteering within our school. Halton Region Police Services has prepared a letter to parents of Halton Schools to help promote their new online service and hope to provide a quicker, more efficient way for parents to get a Police Record Check. This information is also available ...

  • 2017-2018 School Supplies Each year we are asked for suggestions for "back to school" purchases.  Please understand that students are NOT required to bring school supplies with them to school.  Everything they require is provided for them.  However, many families do enjoy "shopping" for back to school items.  Lists for September will be available August 14, 2017 by clicking on the top menu bar marked Parent Info.  Then click "Forms and Files" and open the document.
