  • Learning About Quilts Our grade three students at Hawthorne Village took part in a special quilting project organized by the Halton Quilters Guild who visited over 900 students in Halton. Students created a quilt block with members from Guild at our school.  The blocks were then taken and sewn together to create eight unique class quilts.  Alongside the quilters, the classes have now named their quilts and they will be on display in The Stitches In Our Time Quilt show held on Saturday April 22nd in Burlington, Ontario.   Our grade three classes will then get their quilts returned and we will be donating them to various groups in our community to enjoy.
