On Wednesday, March 28th, 8 students represented Hawthorne Village at the Halton Skills Competition.
The Skills Competition is an event where students from Grade 4 - 12 from the Halton District School Board and Halton Catholic School Board demonstrate their technical skills in a friendly but competitive environment.  Our students competed in both the junior and intermediate Vex IQ robotics Ringmaster Challenge.  Both the junior and intermediate team did a fantastic job throughout the day in their round robin matches, collaborating in a joint challenge with teams from other schools.  Teams demonstrated outstanding teamwork, collaboration and sportsmanship. Our Junior team had a great final round, placing 3rd third in their division. Our intermediate team had an incredible final round, placing 1st place.  The intermediate team will be advancing to represent Halton District School Board at Skills Ontario in May.  Congratulations to both teams!
